The Agency provides an excellent array of benefits. Benefit highlights include:
Four medical plan options through Anthem Blue Cross and Kaiser Permanente • Premiums are shared between the Agency and the employee • Employee contributions range from $0.00 to $218.86 per biweekly pay period, depending on the plan and level of coverage
Two dental plan options through Delta Dental and DeltaCare • 100% of the premium paid by the Agency for the employee and dependents
100% of the premium paid by the Agency for the employee and dependents
100% of the premium paid by the Agency for the employee and dependents
Defined benefit retirement administered through the Kern County Employees' Retirement Association (KCERA) • New hires are enrolled in the 1.62% at 65 retirement Tier II • Employee contributions are currently 6.69% of gross base salary
Employees may elect pre-tax and Roth (post-tax) deductions up to the annual limit set by the IRS
New hires participating in the 457 Deferred Compensation Plan receive a 4.5% matching contribution
